EMCI sets certification standers for the EMCI Registered (associate) Shipbroker®. The EMCI certification for shipbrokers is recognized by the Dutch Association for Certified and Sworn Yacht- and Shipbrokers (www.nbms.nl ) and by the Friesland Bank (www.frieslandbank.nl ).  All EMCI shipbrokers can be found in our public register at this EMCI website. The EMCI Registered (associate) shipbroker is active as sales and purchase broker and as appraisor; both exclusively for the commercial shipping branch. Commercial shipping is understood to mean: cargo ships, dredging ships, fishing ships, inshore cargo ships, naval ships, offshore ships, passenger ships.
EMCI sets separate certification standers for:
  • Broker barges and house boats (EMCI Registered Broker Barges & House Boats®)
  • Yachtbroker (EMCI Registered Yachtbroker®)
