EMCI sets certification standers for the EMCI Registered (associate) Yachtsurveyor® and the EMCI Registered Yachtsurvey Company®. The EMCI certification for yachtsurveyors is recognized by the Friesland Bank (www.frieslandbank.nl ), by the Cape Town Boatbuilding & Technology Initiative (CTBI / www.ctbi.co.za ) and by the South African Boatbuilders Export Council (SABBC / www.sabbex.co.za). All EMCI yachtsurveyors and yachtsurvey companies can be found in our public register at this EMCI website. The EMCI Registered (associate) yachtsurveyor is active as sales and purchase surveyor, insurance surveyor and as appraisor; all exclusively for the non commercial shipping branch. Non commercial shipping is understood to mean: leisure boating, pleasure craft boating, motor yachts, sailing yachts.
