EMCI sets certification standards for the EMCI Registered (associate) Broker Barges & Houseboats® and the EMCI Registered Barges & Houseboats Brokerage Company® and all connected certification categories. The EMCI certification for brokers barges & houseboats is recognized by the Croatian Association for Vessel Brokers and Surveyors (CAVSB), Dutch Association for Certified and Sworn Yacht- and Shipbrokers (NBMS), by the Friesland Bank, by the Cape Town Boatbuilding & Technology Initiative (CTBI) and by the South African Boatbuilders Export Council (SABBEX).  All EMCI brokers barges & houseboats and barges & houseboats brokerage companies can be found in our public register at this EMCI website. The EMCI Registered (associate) broker barges & house boats is active as sales and purchase broker and as appraisor; both exclusively for the barges & house boats branch. This branch is understood to mean: barges, house boats and other floating objects used for (permanent) living and business / office purposes.
